Yup, that's it. I do want some commercial artists. If you search for Wes Montgomery on archive.org, there are a few recordings that are listed as Public Domain, but I find it hard to believe that I can use this stuff from such a well known and definitely commercial artist. Is it that they are live recordings and not album releases? Thank you!

i think you just don't understand. if the work is copyrighted, nothing can change this, it doesnt matter if you download it from here or rip from CD. you just can't use it, especially for your own commercial works.
